Sandhills: Price Ranch
In the western part of Nebraska, one can find grass-stabilized sand dunes called the Sandhills. On the eastern edge, a collection of three ranches form the Gracie Creek Watershed where wildlife conservation is a priority for land management. The Prices, Switzers, and Morgans raise cattle and preserve habitat for birds, reptiles, and other creatures. The Gracie Creek Watershed is the first privately-owned Important Bird Area listed by the Audubon Society in Nebraska.
